It is an epic production that utilizes hundreds of visual effects shots in order to create the giant monsters and environments in the story.  Warner Brothers and Legendary called on Bob Bekian’s high tech Digital HD studios in Burbank to provide the production elements for several sequences. The shots called for the use of Bekian’s pre-lit green screens with specialized lighting and monitoring in order to do pre-visualization of how the sequence will look after post production.

“We have designed our facilities to use the latest technology in order to produce incredible images that tell compelling stories,” Bekian said.  The sequences shot at Loyal Studios employ the ARRI Alexa camera system.  The studio’s integrated control room that feeds the HD files into an array of technology does everything from immediately replacing the green screen background with various sample digital “plates,” to uploading the files to off-site Producers via a high speed internet connection.

Guillermo del Toro directed the sequences, including one with renowned NFL quarterback, Terry Bradshaw. “We love working with Legendary Pictures and especially Guillermo Del Toro,” Bekian adds.  “He is a visionary director, and Legendary Pictures continues to produce incredible films that continually push the industry’s bar of excellence.”

Hellyeah,” the formidable super-group is the latest to join the ranks on their way to their Asian tour to shoot a high concept video for their new album.  The group idea came about during the Tattoo the World tour in 2000 between Tom Maxwell from “Nothingface” and Chad Grey from the metal band “Mudyvane.”  Eventually, they convinced Vinny Paul from  Pantera” and “Damageplan” to take over the Drummer position from Nothingface’s Tommy Sickles.  Their first album self-entitled “Hellyeah” dropped on April 10th, 2007 through Epic Records, and quickly landed their single “Hellyeah” to the top 5 of American rock stations.

“Hellyeah rocked our studios hard,” says Producer and CEO of Loyal Studios, Bob Bekian.  “With our 2000 watt amplified playback system, the parking lot was literally shaking!”. “We shot this project with a series of cameras including the Canon 5D  with Zeiss prime lenses combined with the new RED digital Scarlett,” Bekian added.

Loyal studios is a favorite for music video productions  because of the high level of technical equipment and crew available to produce videos with the latest visual effects (“VFX”) and style.  The studio quickly gained a reputation for being a place that has the best cameras, crews and technical support as well as a place where artists feel comfortable and free to express themselves. The new addition of a complete  post production and editing studio inside the shooting location combined with their 75 HD camera systems has put Loyal Studios into a unique position to be able to offer a one-stop shop for Producers.

(April, 2012 – Burbank, CA) — Loyal Studios in Burbank California has teamed up with Childhelp.org in order to continue the fight to prevent child abuse.

Childhelp.org, based in Scottsdale, AZ, has been helping children since 1959, when it was founded by Sara O’ Meara and Yvonne Fedderson who starred together on the popular sitom “The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet“.

John O'Hurley

“Seinfeld’s” John O’Hurley conducted the  public service announcement for Childhelp.org at Loyal Studios in Burbank.   O’Hurley –who is also known as a finalist on the hit competition show “Dancing With the Stars,” and the voice of King Neptune on Nickelodeon’s “SpongeBob Squarepants” — recently received the Ellis Island Medal of Honor for his humanitarian causes.  O’Hurley didn’t bat an eyelash when he took on the responsibility  to support Childhelp and everything they stand for.

Childhelp.org is a 59 year-old non-profit organization that raises money for the treatment and prevention of child abuse.  The organization has its roots in Hollywood, but now operates in locations across North America, Puerto Rico, the U.S Virgin Island, and Guam.   Their mission is to “meet the physical, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs of abused, neglected and at-risk children.” (www.childhelp.org)  Over 3 million reports of child abuse are made every year, but this doesn’t include the cases that go unheard.

Understanding the incredible importance of protecting our children, Loyal happily donated their HD production facilities and crew in Burbank for the project.
