(Santa Monica, CA): The Farrelly Brothers’ long anticipated comedy, “Movie 43” (a.k.a “Truth or Dare”) is being released nationwide on January 25th after a 24 month production schedule. The movie is “a series of interconnected short films following three kids as they search the depths of the Internet to find the most banned movie in the world.” –IMDB
Relativity Media claims the honor of releasing this collected master piece featuring the largest ensemble cast in film history. The movie consists of 12 different story lines directed by 12 different directors such as Steven Brill, Rusty Cundieff, James Duffy, and Elizabeth Banks.
“The project lets us see a different side to Gerard Butler that we don’t normally see in his leading man roles,” says Loyal Studios Producer, Bob Bekian.
“We shot the sequences of Gerard Butler in our high definition green screen stage in Santa Monica using the Panavision Genesis system co-developed by Sony,” Bekian added. “The camera records the highest quality HD files electronically and as a result, is very close to the look of film.”
Bekian has high tech studios in Santa Monica and Burbank, and uses the facilities to produce television, commercials, and feature films, as well as web projects, and music videos.

The festival began way back in the bygone days of 2009 when men were men, and women let them believe it.
It is the brainchild of famous comedian/actor, Gary Anthony Williams of “Boston Legal” and the voice of ‘Uncle Ruckus’ on Adult Swim’s “Boondocks”. Gary provided an interview toRealTV Films during the 2009 festival, joking about what he hoped people would get out of the festival. “I hope people will go home with their own cars, because under each seat, we’ve put car keys, they can go out to any car and drive away.” But seriously, he speaks about the LACS, saying, “It’s been amazing. The sponsors have really helped us out. ….. they’ve all come through more than I ever hoped they would.” Then humorously adds, “Mark Hamill owes me $0.58.”
If you look on the “Sponsors” page, you’ll notice a familiar black and gray fist under ‘Festival Patrons.’ Loyal Studios is standing right alongside some of the many respected companies supporting the LA Comedy Shorts Film Festival. We do it because we love comedy, and we love the comedians that split our sides. “I am co-producing one of the projects with Snehal Patel, and we are happy to help make the event happen” says Bob Bekian, producer and owner of Loyal Studios.

Bob Bekian and Loyal Studios Co-Produce Gerard Butler as a ‘Perverse Leprechaun’ in New Peter Farrelly Sketch
Of all the roles Gerard Butler has done, this one seemed to be one of the more entertaining both for him, and for the crew. Peter Farrelly has gathered together a group of A-List actors including Hugh Jackman, Kate Winslet, Naomi Watts, and Gerard Butler for his newest sketch-comedy film. The film entitled “Happy Birthday” was co-Produced by Bob Bekian of Loyal Studios.
Butler donned a green screen shirt, leaving only his head visible with wild hair and make-up applications in order to play the role of a leprechaun. “I play the most perverse, disturbing, disgusting, foul-mouthed leprechaun you could ever imagine,” Butler comments. For the ripped star of “300” and “Gamer“, getting into the role meant getting into the body of someone else –literally. The greenscreen technology utilized for “Benjamin Button” was applied in this shoot in order to place Butler’s head onto the body of a very talented little person.
Butler remained on set for the entire multi-hour shoot and was a consummate professional, keeping up the spirits of the cast and crew by cracking jokes and having a good time. “Gerard Butler is a real pro,” says Bekian, “and this project brought together an incredible cast and crew.” With Greg Nicotero of KNB effects working his magic with make-up, and Brett Ratner directing, the creativity in the studio was unbelievable.”
The production at Loyal Studios was shot with the Panavision Genesis system.
“The genesis is a system developed Between Panavision and SONY to record onto the SONY HDSR tape, which we recorded through a set up with a live greenscreen composite system,” Bekian adds. The cameras and technical support were provided by Pro HD Rentals of Burbank, CA, which set up the entire technical configuration in conjunction with Loyal Studios pre-lit facilities in Santa Monica.
